My earliest introduction to the category was Snapple and Sam Adams, which won an Obie award for OOH (work not shown), then I helped with a rebrand launch for Hillshire Brand, formerly Sara Lee. Being a beer snob, Thomas Hardy’s was more a labor of love.

Hillshire Brands

Our clients objective was to create a video series that tell the stories of the products in their brand family–Jimmy Dean, Sara Lee, Hillshire Farm, Ballpark, Aidell’s and State Street, While some videos were meant to be more consumer facing, many were more B2B focused, marketed to the retail food industry.

Being a big fan of this UK beer, I decided to create a spec campaign, which I wrote, designed and directed the spots. A beer having 12% alcohol is meant to be savored, not to down a six-pack of it. It’s why the strategy focused on one being enough.
